Timmy Holahan ran 19 times for 148 yards and two TDs, leading No. 1 Sayville to a 28-14 home win Friday over No. 4 East Hampton/Bridgehampton in the Suffolk Division III semifinals. Tristan Vitale rushed for 70 yards and a TD on 14 carries and added two catches for 78 yards and a score. Patrick Coan added 17 carries for 117 yards and completed 3 of 12 passes for 92 yards and a TD. Robert Hoss led the Golden Flashes with eight tackles and an INT.
Sayville (10-0) plays No. 2 Smithtown West in the championship game at 4 p.m. Thursday at Stony Brook University.
Theo Ball threw TD passes of 81 and 52 yards to Jai Feaster and Livs Kuplins, respectively, for East Hampton/Bridgehampton (6-4).
Smithtown West 42, West Islip 10: Michael Cascione ran 23 times for 251 yards and five TDs, leading No. 2 Smithtown West to a home win over No. 3 West Islip. Colton Ford had five tackles, two pass break-ups, a forced fumble and an INT. Nick Zins had 10 tackles and a sack. Zach Engler had a sack. Nick DeVito completed 9 of 14 passes for 157 yards. Jake Rearick had 88 yards on four catches for the Bulls (8-2).
Jovan Brewster ran for a 9-yard TD for West Islip (7-3).
DIVISION I
Ward Melville 42, Sachem North 7: Joe Karpowicz caught three passes for 104 yards and two TDs and Hudson Philbrick completed 12 of 15 passes for 295 yards and three TDs to lead host No. 2 Ward Melville over No. 3 Sachem North. Joe Benedetto had 15 carries for 77 yards and three TDs. Austin Sicoli had seven tackles.
Ward Melville (9-1) plays No. 1 Floyd in the final at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Stony Brook University.
Luke LaRocca threw for 117 yards, including a 48-yard TD pass to Jon Giraulo for Sachem North (7-3).
DIVISION IV
Babylon 49, Miller Place 20: Aidan Winter rushed for 178 yards and four TDs on 13 carries to lead host No. 1 Babylon over No. 4 Miller Place. Kai Jankow had 18 carries for 238 yards and two TDs. Jaiden Milner had a 36-yard pick-6 and added three carries for 65 yards. Winter had 14 tackles and Milner and JJ Reid combined for 15 tackles. Christian Seidenberg and Zak Vasquez each had two sacks. Corey Dellafranca was 7-for-7 on PATs.
The Panthers (10-0) return to the county finals for the first time since 2017 to face No. 3 Bayport-Blue Point at 4 p.m. Friday at Stony Brook University.
Shane Kiernan completed 19 of 29 passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns for Miller Place (6-4). AJ Rudolph, Camryn Hardy and Cameron Meadows all caught a TD pass.
Bayport-Blue Point 23, Mount Sinai 7: Collin Reyer had 22 carries for 100 yards and two TDs to lead visiting No. 3 Bayport-Blue Point over No. 2 Mount Sinai. Tommy Steyert kicked three field goals and two PATs, and had four touchbacks. Colin Clark had 27 carries for 159 yards and added 48 passing yards for the Phantoms (8-2).
Dontae Spadaro ran for a 5-yard TD on the game’s opening drive for Mount Sinai (7-3).
