SUFFOLK I
Aidyn Modeste had 281 yards and three touchdowns as Patchogue-Medford defeated Central Islip, 24-14, in a Suffolk Division I football game on Friday in the Raiders’ first home win since 2022. Modeste also had an INT and totaled 306 yards of offense.
Ramone Mateo (seven tackles) and Andrew Johnston (five tackles) each had two tackles for a loss for Patchogue-Medford (1-2). Amare Motley had receiving scores of 50 and 38 yards for Central Islip (2-1).
Floyd 34, Sachem East 0: Ja’Quan Thomas had 11 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns, including a 90-yard score, for visiting Floyd (3-0). Aisays Wallace had two carries for 76 yards and a TD. Alex Salamone ran for 53 yards and a TD, and hit Evan Commodore for a 22-yard TD. Sachem East is 1-2.
Ward Melville 35, Whitman 7: Angelo Sorbera returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown in Ward Melville’s road win. Hudson Philbrick followed with a 54-yard TD to Jesse Spronck. Liam Cronin led the defense with 10 tackles. Joe Benedetto rushed nine times for 56 yards and two TDs for Ward Melville (3-0). Shamel Greene ran for an 8-yard TD for Whitman (1-2).
SATURDAY’S GAMES
Sachem North 38, Bay Shore 0: Jake Spera had an 80-yard TD run for visiting Sachem North (2-1). Jevon Alfonso and Dominique Alexander combined for 110 rushing yards and two TDs. John Licata, Gavin Nuzzi and Henry Sarro all had an INT. Bay Shore is 0-3.
Longwood 50, Brentwood 19: Kyon Sarwari rushed for 83 yards and two TDs on eight carries for host Longwood (2-1). Both Mark Davis and Makai Jacobs ran for a TD. Ryan Greene completed 9 of 11 passes for 142 yards and two TDs. Brentwood is 0-3.
Lindenhurst 45, Riverhead 12: Hunter DeRonde ran for two scores and had two INTs for Lindenhurst (3-0) against host Riverhead (0-3). Mikey Russo had two rushing TDs and had a 40-yard passing TD to Ryan Murgatroyd.
SUFFOLK II
Carson Ciaio batted down the final pass as time expired as Northport football stopped Connetquot four times from inside the 10-yard line in the final minute to preserve the Tigers’ 21-10 home win over Connetquot in Suffolk Division II on Saturday. Greyson Cabrera had 135 yards of offense, including a 32-yard rushing TD and a 39-yard receiving TD, and made 16 tackles for the Tigers (2-0). Ryder Maag took a screen pass 72 yards for a TD.
Vincent Feraca had a rushing score for Connetquot (1-2).
Half Hollow Hills East 57, Newfield 7: Nick Sevilla completed 6 of 8 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns as Half Hollow Hills East (1-2) defeated host Newfield (1-2). Daniel White rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns, adding 60 yards through the air. Akio Johnson had 12 tackles, a sack and a 20-yard pick-6. Ryan Soto had six tackles, five pass break-ups and a 54-yard TD reception. RJ Peters had TD receptions of 59 and 62 yards.
Huntington 56, Centereach 13: Yasir Jones had 19 carries for 251 yards and three TDs for host Huntington (3-0). Jacob Guzik completed 5 of 6 passes for 105 yards and three TDs. Jack Kamenstein caught two TD passes. Chase Northrop caught a 26-yard TD and had three tackles, a pass deflection and a 15-yard pick-6.
East Islip 61, Smithtown East 21: Jake Simmons ran for 231 yards, three touchdowns and had a sack for host East Islip (3-0). Will Gonzalez ran for 76 yards and a score and Andrew Arena had 59 rushing yards and a TD. Evan Gordon returned a fumble 27 yards for a TD and Parker Redding had a 35-yard pick-6.
Antonio Marrone threw two TD passes for Smithtown East (1-2).
Bellport 47, Commack 7: Braydon Cipp completed 6 of 10 passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns and rushed four times for 58 yards and a score to lead host Bellport (2-1). Cameron Casher rushed for 78 yards on nine carries, Kingston John rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. John also had an interception. Commack is 1-2.
North Babylon 48, Deer Park 28: Dominic Prestano had 30 carries for 187 yards and four TDs for host North Babylon (2-1). Jovan Greenhill added 95 yards and a score on 13 carries, and Jack Miller took seven carries for 80 yards and a TD. Christian Myrick had four receptions for 183 yards and three TDs for Deer Park (1-2).
FRIDAY’S GAME
Copiague 31, West Babylon 13: Jayden Herrera rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns to lead host Copiague (1-2). Jayden James had 100 rushing yards and a TD on five carries. Kevin Mackey and Roger Rowe combined for 83 rushing yards and two TDs. Jahavi Reyes had a rushing TD and threw a 3-yard touchdown to Daniel Rose for West Babylon (1-2).
SUFFOLK III
Jason Melhado kicked a 38-yard field goal with six seconds remaining to lead Harborfields to an 18-15 win over Half Hollow Hills West in Suffolk III football Friday night. Vern Bratton finished with 10 rushes for 85 yards, including several big plays on the game’s final drive to set up Melhado’s winning field goal for Harborfields (1-2). Luke Taff completed a 13-yard TD pass to Gavin Engelhardt, with Taff punching in the two-point conversion to tie it for Hills West (0-3) with 1:16 left.
Brayden Matarese ripped off a 66-yard scoring run for Harborfields (1-2). Ethan Roman had an interception for the Tornadoes.
Westhampton 40, Eastport-South Manor 19: Nic Simone had 26 carries for 257 yards and five touchdowns and added an interception to lead host Westhampton (1-2). Nate Logelfo caught three passes for 83 yards and a TD and had an interception to help the Hurricanes overcome a 19-7 second-quarter deficit. Pat Fay completed 6 of 9 passes for 103 yards and a score, and Andrew Lewis had six tackles.
Thomas Powers and Cole Klein each caught a TD pass from Matt Beardsley for Eastport-South Manor (2-1).
Islip 34, Hauppauge 22: Jack Rao completed 23 of 32 passes for 371 yards and four touchdowns, plus 15 carries for 75 yards and a TD for host Islip (2-1). Jake DeGennaro caught nine passes for 195 yards and two TDs, Alex Morales caught three passes for 45 yards and two TDs and Jack Gardner added six receptions for 101 yards. Najee Simpson had 10 tackles and a sack. Joe Pistritto returned a kickoff 86 yards for a TD for Hauppauge (1-2).
Rocky Point 44, Amityville 19: Cristian Romero had touchdown runs of 4, 3 and 5 yards to lead host Rocky Point (2-1). Nick Moore and Ryan Espinal each had a pick-6, and DJ Xavier caught a 5-yard TD pass from Peyton Reisinger. Jovani Hess added a 40-yard field goal. Xavier had a sack and a forced fumble, and Jack Krilovitch added two sacks.
Noah Robinson returned a kickoff 95 yards for a TD for Amityville (1-2). Jacob Billinger ran for a 4-yard TD and Anari Armstrong caught a 30-yard TD pass from Jonoven Luciano.
Sayville 56, Comsewogue 7: Patrick Coan completed 13 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns and had five carries for 34 yards and two scores to lead the visiting Golden Flashes (3-0). Colin Darling had nine receptions for 129 yards and two TDs. Tristan Vitale ran for 77 yards and a score, and Timmy Holahan added 56 rushing yards and a TD. Robert DiFazio scored a 4-yard rushing touchdown for Comsewogue (1-2).
Smithtown West 13, West Islip 6: Michael Cascione had 143 rushing yards, a touchdown, five tackles and one for a loss to lead host Smithtown West (3-0). Vin Lepore had a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Nick Zins made nine tackles, with one for a loss. TJ Sonnenberg connected with Conor Kenefick on a 10-yard score for West Islip (2-1).
East Hampton 50, Wyandanch 10: Alex Davis had 11 carries for 110 yards and three touchdowns for host East Hampton/Bridgehampton/Pierson (2-1). Jackson Ronick ran for 100 yards and two scores on three carries. Jake Rivera returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown and Manny Morales went 6-for-6 on extra points. Dom Correnthi had a 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for Wyandanch (0-3).
SUFFOLK IV
Daniel Paolella caught four passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns, including a 65-yard score inside the final six minutes in host Mount Sinai’s 28-27 win over Miller Place in Suffolk IV football Friday night. Van Johnson scored a 2-yard rushing TD for Miller Place with 2:26 left, but Brandon Steele, Dontae Spadaro and Tommy Massaro combined for the stop on the Panthers’ two-point rush attempt.
Spadaro had 18 carries for 187 yards and a TD. Max Sorrentino completed 10 of 13 passes for 196 yards and two scores for Mount Sinai (2-1). AJ Rudolph caught touchdown passes of 42 and 38 yards from Shane Kiernan, who also threw a TD pass to Camryn Hardy for Miller Place (2-1).
Bayport-Blue Point 70, Kings Park 37: Colin Clark took 15 carries for 300 yards and five touchdowns and completed 3 of 4 passes for 98 yards and a TD to lead host Bayport-Blue Point (3-0) in Suffolk IV. Tommy Steyert made a school-record 10 PATs, according to coach Mike Zafonte. Josh Franchak ran for 52 yards and a TD and caught a 47-yard TD pass. Colin Reyer ran for 103 yards and a touchdown and Aidan Richman had a 26-yard pick-6.
Aidan Barbosa had 17 carries for 278 yards and two TDs, plus seven tackles on defense for Kings Park (1-2). Brandon Shapiro was 16 for 31 passing for 195 yards with four TDs and one interception. Matt Corrado had eight receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns, as well as a forced fumble and recovery.
Shoreham-Wading River 52, Hampton Bays 18: Noah Gregorek threw for 218 yards and five touchdowns and had 97 rushing yards and a score to lead host Shoreham-Wading River (2-1). George Greene caught six passes for 145 yards and four TDs. Anthony Mullen had 117 rushing yards on 17 carries. Conner Bullinger connected with Matheus Ribeiro on touchdowns of 16 and 30 yards for Hampton Bays (0-3).

Center Moriches 49, Port Jefferson 13: Dennis Hayes rushed for 145 yards and two TDs on nine carries for Center Moriches (1-2) in its road win. Caleb Delgado had five carries for 50 yards and a score. Christian Versacci returned a kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown and caught a 17-yard TD from Rich Roberts, who also had a rushing score.
