Jake Cuoco stole a sideline pass with 3.8 seconds left and scored a fast-break layup as time expired to lead Syosset boys basketball to a 50-48 win over Massapequa in Nassau I on Friday night. Cuoco finished with nine points for Syosset (8-6). Sammy Etra had a game-high 29 points. Michael Misfud chipped in five points. John Neary and Austin Irizarry led Massapequa (6-7) with 15 points each.
Westbury 61, Valley Stream Central 47: Zion Mitchell knocked down five three-pointers to finish with 23 points and five rebounds for Westbury (9-4) in Nassau II. Jahlyl Barrett added 14 points and four rebounds. Petshley Louissaint had nine points and 22 rebounds. Tristan Mitchell had six points and 12 assists. Jaiya Vera led Valley Stream Central (7-5) with 14 points.
Bayport-Blue Point 62, Shoreham-Wading River 51: Colin Most scored 23 points to lead Bayport-Blue Point (7-8) in Suffolk VI. Chris Gorwitz had 17 points. Declan Schug had eight points and seven assists. Tyler Lievre led Shoreham-Wading River (12-3) with 17 points.

Malverne 61, Cold Spring Harbor 45: Julien Dumornay scored 15 of his 18 points in the second half and grabbed 14 rebounds for Malverne (10-4) in non-league. Jason Miletic had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Grayden Vitagliano had 18 points for Cold Spring Harbor (8-4).
Deer Park 62, Northport 49: Damien Scott scored 31 points to lead Deer Park (12-3) in Suffolk III. Brody Gazzo scored 20 points for Northport (6-9).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Westhampton 37, Comsewogue 28: Jasmine Taylor had 12 points and eight steals to lead Westhampton (13-2) in Suffolk IV. Kate Sweet scored 11 points. Sandra Clark chipped in nine points. Jayla Callender led Comsewogue (6-9) with 16 points.

Center Moriches 56, Wyandanch 51: Gia Rotunda tied the score as time expired, forcing overtime for Center Moriches (4-9) in its non-league win. The Red Devils erased a seven-point deficit with less than two minutes remaining. Brianna Carter had 16 points, and Rotunda finished with 13 points. Ella Cerillo had 12 points. Ayiana Ware led Wyandanch (3-12) with 18 points.
Rocky Point 53, Bayport-Blue Point 52: Giuliana Tocci had 23 points, knocking down seven three-pointers for Rocky Point (8-5), in non-league. Abigail Hansen had 16 points. Kayla Bongiorno led Bayport-Blue Point (7-7) with 18 points.
Hauppauge 47, Islip 40: Alexa Fortune scored 17 points and Gabby Cane added 15 points to lead Hauppauge (10-2) in Suffolk IV. Abbey Dieumegard and Rylee Moran had 11 points apiece for Islip (9-4).
Centereach 41, Half Hollow Hills East 34: Brianna Brennan scored all seven of her points in overtime to lead Centereach (9-5) in Suffolk III. Hayley Torres had a game-high 16 points. Madelyn Madrigal had eight points, nine rebounds and six steals. Ava Agudio led Half Hollow Hills East (7-8) with 13 points.

Mattituck 53, Babylon 30: Kai Bossen pinned Nicholas Longo in 59 seconds at 138 pounds for Mattiuck (5-1) in Suffolk VIII. Ryder Antonucci pinned Nathaniel Theoharis in 2:54 at 144 pounds and Kevin Collins pinned Jack Margolis in 43 seconds at 110 pounds.

Commack 31, North Babylon 5: Luke Jovans rolled games of 297, 249 and 256 for an 803 series for Commack (15-0) in Suffolk III, becoming the first Suffolk bowler this season with an 800-plus series. Andrew Schaefer had a 731 series and Leo Recine added a 696 series to help the Cougars total 3,619 pins, the best score in Suffolk this season. Ethan LeBlanc rolled a 713 series for North Babylon (12-3).

Sachem 23, Eastport-South Manor 17: Sabrina Quaranta bowled a 267 in Game 1 of a 634 series for Sachem (6-4) in Suffolk I. Sam Benson had a 192 in Game 3 and Destiny Fehner bowled a 190 in Game 1 for Eastport-South Manor (5-6).
GYMNASTICS
Sewanhaka District 161.55, Hicksville 155: Isabella Nunez of Sewanhaka finished first in the all-around with a score of 32.9 for Sewanhaka District (4-3), placing first on both beam (8.9) and vault (8.1) in Nassau I. Elizabeth Hagen placed first on floor with a score of 9.1. Alexa Danzi of Hicksville (3-5) finished second in the all-around with a score of 30.85. Grace Scelzi placed first on bars with a score of 8.2.
