High school roundup: Boys and girls bowling, boys wrestling and gymnastics

Brandon Simonetti fired a high game of 213 and rolled with a 632 series to lead Islip to a 32-4 win over Whitman in Suffolk I boys bowling on Tuesday night.
Jake Conlon bowled a 241 in game two and Gavin Connell had a 226 in game three in the victory for Islip (6-0).
Jose Duarte shot a 254 in game one for Whitman (2-3).
Smithtown 23, Harborfields 12: Derek Saitta rolled a 265 high game in the third game of a 677 series to lead Smithtown in Suffolk III. Austin Garcia fired a 651 series, including a 232 high game in game two for Smithtown (4-1). Harborfields is 3-3.
Floyd 30, Patchogue-Medford 6: Nicholas Powers rolled a 614 series and Tristan Ng had a 212 high game to help lead Floyd (4-1) in Suffolk II. Jackson Rall led all bowlers with a 669 series and a 263 high game for Patchogue-Medford (3-2).
Locust Valley 11, Oyster Bay 0: Brothers Justin Kim and Noah Kim each bowled a 590 series to lead Locust Valley (5-0) in Nassau IX. Justin Kim rolled a 236 high game in game two and Noah Kim rolled a 218 high game in game three.
Bayport-Blue Point 32, Bellport 4: Julia Harrington bowled a 605 series and Kyle Oleksiak had a 584 series to lead Bayport-Blue Point (3-3) to a Suffolk II win.
GIRLS BOWLING
Longwood 25, Bellport 15: Kaylee Dwyer rolled a high game of 236 in a 632 series to lead Longwood (3-0) in Suffolk I. Jossalyn Liverpool added a high game of 208. Avery Frank added a high game of 206 and Alexis DiBella added a high game of 202.
Sachem 34, Eastport-South Manor 6: Sabrina Quaranta bowled a 204 in game one and a 234 in game three to lead Sachem (2-2) to a Suffolk I victory. Sam Benson rolled a 190, a 169 and a 181 for Eastport-South Manor (0-2).
BOYS WRESTLING
Farmingdale 42, Westbury 41: Aiden Squitieri pinned Elmer Turcios in 16 seconds at 132 pounds in the final match of Farmingdale’s win in Nassau I-B. Michael Perez Palacios pinned Cristian Gonzalez in 1:58 at 126 pounds and Anthony Demarco pinned Christopher Bermundez in 3:07 at 110 pounds.
Ward Melville 54, Whitman 18: Hunter Phillips pinned Haroon Qamar in 23 seconds at 103 pounds to lead Ward Melville in Suffolk II. Jaiden Seider pinned Edwin Miranda Gonzalez in 2:39 at 175 pounds, Lorenzo Gamez pinned Carter Hinson in 1:12 at 190 pounds and Adam Culloton pinned Bazil Young in 1:19 at 285 pounds.
GYMNASTICS
MONDAY’S MEETS
Bethpage 149.8, Long Beach 147.75: Alina Richer took second in the all-around competition with a score of 31.55 to lead Bethpage (2-0) in Nassau I. Richer’s best performance was in the floor exercise, where she placed second by scoring a 9.0. Adriana Zanki tied for first on the vault by scoring an 8.0, while Kaya Drouin won the balance beam with an 8.5. Drouin also placed second on the floor with an 8.7. Zoey Todd tied for first with an 8.0 in the vault and also won both the floor with a 9.1 and the all-around with a 32.8 for Long Beach (0-1).
Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 168.7, Oceanside 157.45: Addie Simon won the all-around competition with 34.25 points to help lead Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (2-0) in Nassau I. Andi Yu was second all-around with a 34.2, as she won the vault with an 8.3, tying her with teammate Emily Croft, and also won the uneven bars with an 8.55. Yu’s highest score was a 9.2 in the floor exercise, which placed third behind Simon at 9.25. Other noteworthy performances for POB JFK were Meadow Cook’s first-place finish with an 8.7 on the balance beam and Sofia Rosamilia’s second-place finish with an 8.5 on the bars. Adriana Auleta won the floor with a 9.3 and Anna Quinn ranked third in the all-around with a 32.9 for Oceanside (1-1).
