Shane Villaume tossed a no-hitter on 72 pitches, striking out seven batters in seven innings to lead visiting Division to a 3-0 win over Roslyn in a Nassau AA-III baseball game on Friday night.

Villaume allowed just one baserunner on an error and faced only one over the minimum. Tyler Scarry hit a two-run home run and Michael Sica hit a run-scoring single for Division (8-4). Jake Giordano allowed one earned run in four innings, striking out eight for Roslyn (4-7).

Long Island Lutheran 3, Rye Country Day School 0: Matthew Garib pitched six scoreless innings, allowing one hit and two walks and striking out six batters to lead Lutheran (9-5) in NYSAIS independent play. Garib lso went 2-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch and a run. Matt Muzikant pitched a scoreless bottom of the seventh inning and struck out one for his third save.

SOFTBALL

West Islip 6, Deer Park 5: Janiya Fields hit an RBI single into left-centerfield in the bottom of the seventh inning to drive in Janiya Fields and walk it off for West Islip (6-6) in a Suffolk III/IV crossover. Emily Bouros struck out five to earn the win and also went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, including the tying run. Leah Giana went 3-for-3 with an RBI and Nicole Grieco drove in a run. Jaylene Rodriguez hit a two-run home run in the top of the sixth for Deer Park (5-5).

East Hampton 5, Smithtown East 4: Fallon Centalonza drove in Alexa Schaffer with the walk-off run in the bottom of the eighth to win it for East Hampton (8-3) in a Suffolk III/IV crossover. Centalonza finished 2-for-3. Alexa Shaffer went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Izzy Briand had nine strikeouts in eight innings. Jayden Melville struck out nine for Smithtown East (5-7).

BOYS LACROSSE

St. Dominic 7, Friends Academy 5: Aiden Cromwell scored three goals and handed out two assists to lead St. Dominic (4-2) in non-league. Logan Bracco made 16 saves. Brian Medley and Kellan Mostranky each totaled three points. John Tsioulias and Ryder Marcus each scored two goals for Friends Academy (2-7).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Jericho 10, Glen Cove 9: Avery Danzig totaled four goals and one assist to lead Jericho (8-2) in Nassau IV. Marianna Charalambous added three goals and three assists. Emily Abukoush saved 14 shots. Victoria Scagliola had four goals and one assist for Glen Cove (7-3).

GIRLS BADMINTON

Baldwin 4, Elmont 3: Nirvana Gosine and Emma Biazon defeated Christina George and Wadjiha Sajjad at fourth doubles, 21-19, 21-14, to win it for Baldwin (4-5) in Nassau IV. Deliany Rodriguez and Taylor Antoine defeated Harsimran Kaur and Kaniz Fatima, 21-13, 21-9, at second doubles to win their ninth consecutive match as a tandem for Baldwin. Nancy Parada-Franco defeated Isabel Morataya, 21-6, 21-6 at third singles for Elmont (2-7).

THURSDAY’S MATCH

Jericho 4, Great Neck South 3: Judy Liang defeated Emma Ding, 21-12, 16-21, 21-7, at third singles to lead Jericho (9-0) in Nassau I. Sisters Jasmine and Jessica Peng defeated Eva Westbay and Shirleen Li, 21-14, 12-21, 22-20, at first doubles. Isabella Fong and Tressa Li defeated Esha Raina and Thanvi Sulla, 21-4, 21-15, at third doubles and Elva Wong and Emily Zhang defeated Nverya Nijuti and Sofia Nam, 21-12, 21-8, at fourth doubles for Great Neck South (7-2).
