Long Islanders won't have to fly to Florida to hop on a Disney cruise next fall.
Disney Cruise Line is bringing the Disney Wish back to Manhattan for a limited fall 2027 season run, putting a Disney ship within driving distance of Long Island for the first time since the Disney Dream's brief New York run in 2023. It's also the first time the Wish itself will sail from the New York City port.
Disney teased the announcement this week with a series of coordinates posted to social media, one of which traced back to Manhattan Cruise Terminal.
Seven sailings make up the season, running from Sept. 29 to Nov. 5, 2027, with trips ranging from four to seven nights. Destinations include Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Boston and Canada, and include Saint John, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
The New York sailings are available on Disney Cruise Line's website, but are not bookable yet, listed as "coming soon." Disney has said more details, including exact booking dates, are expected in the next announcement, on Wednesday.

The season comes as Disney Cruise Line expands its fleet well beyond its Port Canaveral, Florida, roots. The Wish has spent most of its run on short Bahamian itineraries out of Florida; sending it north gives Northeast families a home port option without a flight to Orlando.
