Eastbound Sunrise Highway reopened in Seaford after pedestrian hit, police say

Nassau County police have reopened eastbound Sunrise Highway in Seaford after a person was struck by a vehicle, closing the road for several hours Thursday afternoon.
The pedestrian was struck at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday and hospitalized with unknown injuries and a condition was not available, police said.
Police closed the highway between Morris Gate and Oakland Avenue as part of the investigation. The road was reopened before 5 p.m., police said.
A red Coca-Cola delivery truck was seen stopped on the highway next to police and a Toyota minivan was seen in the bushes off the side of the road.
