A custom-built Colonial in Huntington is on the market for nearly $2 million. The taxes are $19,914.
The house is located on Quaker Path. Totaling 2,750 square feet, it features four bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms. The property is in the Huntington Union Free School District.
The half-acre lot is a "location, location property," said listing agent Elena D'Agostino. That's because the house is in proximity to the bustling main streets of both Cold Spring Harbor and Huntington.
"It's the best of both worlds," said D'Agostino, who is co-listing the home with Joyce Mennella, of Lucky To Live Here Realty.

There have only been two owners of the property, said D'Agostino. The house was built in 2009. The powder room was updated recently, along with the hot water heater and laundry units.
"A lot of the workings of the house were recently replaced," she said.
Other standout features include a first-floor primary ensuite bedroom with a soaking tub, a two-car garage, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the living room and hardwood floors throughout.

The backyard boasts a screened-in porch that steps down to a patio and an in-ground pool. The pool heater, pump and liner are new, said D'Agostino.
"It's a fabulous backyard," she said. "It's a level half-acre that has a nice backdrop of very tall hedges, so it creates a private setting. And it's beautifully and professionally landscaped."

Additionally, the second level contains spaces with high ceilings that offer "a lot of potential," D'Agostino said.
"It's just one of those desirable locations that people in the area gravitate to," she said.
