Southold house for sale on Goose Creek has privacy, serenity

A Southold home with a backyard dock is on the market for $2.3 million. The taxes are $12,135.

The ranch-style home is on Glenn Road, which is "very private," said Kristy Naddell, of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. She is co-listing the property with Thomas Uhlinger.

In Southold, "some of these streets are very remote," she said. "Glenn Road has all that privacy, but you're only a few minutes right into the village of Southold."

With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, the house totals 2,500 square feet. The kitchen was updated eight years ago with new appliances, quartz countertops and limestone flooring, Naddell said.

Some standout features include a gravel driveway, wood-burning fireplace in the living room, full basement and a covered back porch.

"It's a peaceful, serene place," Naddell said, of the back porch. "[The sellers] have their coffee there every morning."

"The backyard is pretty substantial," she added. "There's a pretty big patio, surrounded by custom landscaping."

The property is not in a flood zone, said Naddell, and is in the Southold Union Free School District.

The sellers live here year-round, Naddell said. But, "most of our buyers these days are weekend people, so it's good for either-or, because it's spacious enough. A lot of people are looking for one-level living," she said.
