Mateo Morales hit a triple in the sixth inning, driving in Liam Byrne and then stole home to score the go-ahead run in Farmingdale’s 6-5 victory over Calhoun in Nassau AAA-I baseball on Saturday. Morales finished 2-for-3 with an RBI. Justin Ortiz hit a two-run homer for Farmingdale (6-1). Jack Zagariello homered for Calhoun (3-4).
GIRLS LACROSSE
MacArthur 13, East Meadow 6: Kayleigh Huggard had four goals and two assists for MacArthur (3-4) in non-league. It was the inaugural Trevor Huggard memorial lacrosse day, an event commemorating Huggard’s older brother, who died in June 2025. Eve Larking was named game MVP with five goals and two assists. Kayla Lederer had two goals for East Meadow (1-5).
