As the last house on Highland Avenue, a beige-shingled home with a brick chimney sits across Woodlawn Road from Harbor Links Golf Course.
"When you wake up in the morning and you look out the primary window," said listing agent Diane Goetze, "it's nature — you just see trees everywhere and the changing of the seasons."

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house is listed for $1.069 million. Taxes on the 0.08-acre Port Washington property, which falls within the Port Washington Union Free School District, total $15,407.
"It has kind of a hip feel to it," said Goetze, of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty.
Built in 1920, the home measures 1,490 square feet, according to Nassau County land records.
Today, the home is a "nice, bright house," with modern conveniences like central air conditioning, Goetze said.

On the first floor, there is a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a formal dining room, an eat-in kitchen, a den and one bathroom. The bedrooms and second full bathroom are on the second floor, according to the listing.
In the basement, there is a laundry area and space the current homeowners use for gym equipment, Goetze said. Though the walls are painted and there is flooring, Goetze described the lower level as unfinished.

Outside, there is yard space in lieu of a garage, Goetze said. The homeowners plan to leave the backyard gazebo, which is removable, she added.
"The property is actually deceiving because it's a corner property, and it has a nice, very private backyard," Goetze said.
